HyVee Cash 4 Students
It's the final month to turn in your HyVee receipts of any amount dated between September 1, 2022 - March 31, 2023. For every $200 purchased at the grocery, wine/spirits, catering, deli, gas, etc., HyVee will donate $1 to Horn. We have currently earned a $160 donation for Horn.
Electronic receipts can be forwarded to hornpto.iowacity@gmail.com. Please include the total as the subject line to simplify processing. A box is available in the school office for paper receipts
February Read-a-Thon
Our students did an amazing job this month and logged 272,441 minutes of reading! Students celebrated on Wednesday with a school wide pizza party sponsored by Hills Bank and The Wedge.
Thanks to our Read-a-Thon team for organizing a fun and successful month of guest readers, activities, and celebrations! We raised over $7000.
PTO Bylaws Review
The PTO will be reviewing our Bylaws this spring and needs of a team of people to participate. Dave Bright will be joining us for two work sessions, scheduled for the evening of March 9th and 29th. Parent Teacher Organization
Want to catch up on the most recent PTO meeting. You can find this school year's minutes here. PTO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Horn Library and on Zoom from 7:00-8:00pm. Future dates include Mar. 21, Apr. 18, and May 16.

Family STEM Night
The Horn Family STEM Night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 28 from 5:30-7:30. Families are invited to come engage in science, technology, engineering, and math during this interactive open house.
A few volunteers are needed to help our STEM Night Coordinator make the evening run smoothly.
