Horn Book Fair - May 9-13
The book fair is a great way to explore the world of books with your kids, grandkids, and friends. Families can purchase books as gifts, for their homes or for their children’s classroom.
Monday 3:00 – 5:30 pm
Tuesday 7:30 – 8:30 am, 3:00 – 5:30 pm
Wednesday 3:00 – 5:30 pm
Thursday 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Friday 5:00 – 6:30 pm
We are looking for volunteers to work the onsite book fair. Please sign up if you can help
Online ordering is available May 9 - 22. A link will be sent out when the book fair opens. All online orders ship to your home. Book-only orders over $25 ship free! Proceeds from this Scholastic Book Fair will be used to purchase books and supplies for the Horn library.
End of Year Celebration - Friday, May 13th from 5:30-7:30
Families, students, and staff are invited to join us anytime Friday, May 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 outside at Horn. Please plan to walk from home or park in the nearby neighborhoods as the parking lot will be blocked off.
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and gather on the school playgrounds. A variety of food trucks will be in the school parking lot to purchase dinner. You're welcome to bring a picnic of your own if preferred.
Bouncy houses, Kona Ice, and yard games available for free to all on the front/upper grade playground! Enjoy a visit from Herky the Hawk and Hemi the Hornet. Have a yard game you'd like to bring and share? Sign-up here.
6th Grade Party - Friday, May 20th from 6:00-8:00pm
Each year, 6th grade parents plan a special celebration for the 6th graders. A donation and volunteer sign-up will go out soon for those who would like to contribute or help out. Parents who are not volunteering may take a look around at the decorations, snap some pictures, and then head home. Students will not be allowed to leave before 8:00 without a parent. Please plan to pick your student up promptly at 8:00.

Staff Appreciation Week
Thank to all for making it such a great week of celebrating everyone who works at Horn! The breakfast, snacks, desserts, candy, drinks, lunch, and gift cards were enjoyed by all! A shout out to Barre3 and Fit4Mom for providing a free workout for the staff.
