Upcoming Fundraisers
Starting this week, we have three opportunities for you to purchase items and support Horn School. Please do not feel obligated to purchase. These options are available to families who would like to purchase artwork, school spirit wear, or books. Feel free to choose what works best for your family.
Horn Spirit Wear - November 20-Decmeber 2
It's time to get your Horn Spirit Wear! Check out our online store to see the t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and hoodies available. Youth and adult sizes available and all youth sizes will have a Y in front of the size. Prices start at $8. Items will be available for curbside pick-up at Horn Elementary on Friday, December 18th from 4:30-6:00. Contact Sarah (sarah.alward@gmail.com) with any questions. Kids Kreations - November 20th-December 1
Our winter Kids Kreations store is open! You can have your child's artwork turned into a variety items to enjoy around your home or give as a gift. Visit www.kidskreations.us to see all of the options. This year, you will need to upload your student's artwork or choose a favorite family photo if you want to place an order. Items will be shipped directly to you and arrive before the holidays. There will be more opportunities to order this year if you'd like something at another time. This is a school fundraiser but please don't feel obligated to order. Contact Laura (Lbroffitt@yahoo.com) with any questions.
Steps to order:
1. Use a camera or scanner to make a digital file of artwork (Helpful Hints: go outside, place art flat on the ground with no direct sunlight and no shadows, stand over art, take photo, crop art)
2. Go to www.KidsKreations.us
3. Click "Upload Artwork" (green button at top)
4. Choose art to upload
5. Rotate art if needed
6. Fill in Artist Name, Teacher and Grade
7. View products with your art
8. Add products to your cart
9. Click on "Cart" to check out
10. Click on "yes, find my organization"
11. Type "Horn Elementary School" in search field
12. Click "Okay" (blue button)
13. Choose "Direct Shipping"
14. Submit payment
Scholastic Book Fair - November 25-December 8
The annual book fair is coming up soon! This year, our book fair will take place online and purchases will be delivered directly to your home! The online store will be available November 25th. Share the link with family and friends! Books are always great gifts. 25% of all purchases will directly benefit the Horn School. Free shipping on book purchases over $25. Contact Chris (stilwell.christine@iowacityschools.org) with any questions.
Winter Clothing Collection - October 26 - December 4
If your family has new or gently used winter items that you've outgrown or don't need, please consider dropping them off in the donation box located inside the main entrance at Horn which is still available during online instruction. Items needed include winter coats, snow pants, boots, mittens, gloves, long sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, and pants.
2019-2020 Yearbooks
If you pre-ordered last year's yearbook but haven't picked it up yet, please email hornpto.iowacity@gmail. com. Yearbooks must be paid for prior to picking them up. They cost $10 each. If you're still interested in ordering yearbook, we have some extras! Email hornpto.iowacity@gmail.com to request one.
