Book Fair - December 3-7
The book fair is a great way to explore the world of books with your kids, grand kids, and friends. Families can purchase books as gifts, for their homes, for their children's classroom or for the school library. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

Book Fair Hours Tuesday: 3:00-6:00 Wednesday: 3:00-6:00 Thursday: 2:00-6:00 Friday: 7:30-8:30 & 2:00-3:30 Saturday: 9:00-12:00

Bake Sale - December 7th from 9:00-12:00
We're having a bake sale during the weekend book fair hours this year! Stop by and get a morning treat for yourself or by a dozen or two to enjoy at home.

Donated cookies, brownies, cakes, breads, and other goodies are needed!

Donations can be dropped off at school on Friday or Saturday morning from 8:30-9:00. Volunteers are also needed to help set-up and sell items.

 Chess Club - Wednesdays from 3:05-3:45
The Horn Chess Club will be starting up again on December 4th in Mr. Sears' classroom. This is an opportunity for students in 3rd - 6th grade to practice their chess skills. Beginners are welcome! A behavior agreement must be returned in order to participate.

 Volunteers are needed. Chess knowledge is helpful but not required. Sign-up to volunteer or contact Rene Rocha: rene-rocha@uiowa.edu
Cubing Club - Fridays, 11/22, 12/13, 12/20 from 3:00-4:00
Students in grades 3-6 are invited to attend Horn's newest club. Join us in the library and bring your own cube(s) if you have them. In January, the club will start meeting on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. Questions? Email michellemsmoore@gmail.com




Horn School Needs Your Help
Many of our upcoming events and activities do not have a coordinator or team to help get them planned.  

Opportunities big and small include, Bingo for Books, new STEAM night & science fair, carnival, silent auction.
