Party for Horn 6th Grade

To the 6th grade parents – please look for additional information in your child’s Friday folder this week regarding the 6th grade party, and the party response form that is due by April 18.

Please read these important details:
Baby Pictures. Don’t forget to provide a baby picture to Mrs. Green! Email digital copies to green.mary@iowacityschools.org or send original pictures to Mrs. Green to be scanned and returned.

Donations. We have a small budget generously provided by the Horn PTO, but we are asking parents/guardians to consider donating some extra funds to the party so we can cover costs of the t-shirts, decorations, food, music, etc. A signup link will be sent out and posted on the Horn PTO blog (http://hornpto.blogspot.com) for contributions toward food, beverages, party supplies, and monetary contributions. We are also accepting monetary contributions by check, made out to Horn PTO (subject line: 6th grade party). Signups and contributions are due Thursday, April 18!

T-Shirts. We plan to provide a t-shirt for each student. Please indicate your child’s size on the form following this letter. The recommended contribution for the t-shirt is $10, but it is not required for your child to receive a shirt. The order form is due Thursday, April 18 to guarantee sizing!

Party Details. Students and their parent/guardian should arrive at 5:40 PM. At this time, parents can take a look around at the decorations, take pictures, etc. There will also be a class picture taken at 6 PM, after which parents/guardians will leave (unless you are a chaperone) and the party will begin.

Please note that on the night of the party students will be required to check in and out at the table near the front doors. Parents/guardians will be responsible for signing their student out at the end of the party!
