Books for Little Library
Did you know that we have a Little Library at the front of our school near the gazebo? We are looking for additional books to be donated for the Little Library. If you have some books at home you are wanting to part ways with, please place them in the Little Library.
Also, please let your kids know about the Little Library as well. They are welcome to take books from there to read and bring back.
PTO Executive Board Nominations
Have you considered getting more involved at Horn next year? If you are interested in being on the PTO Executive Board or know someone who would be a good fit, please contact Laura Broffitt (Lbroffitt@yahoo.com or 319-541-8862). The executive board is made up of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications Director. These positions can be held by one person or be shared.

Staff Appreciation
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up
May 6-10. Each day we will celebrate a different group of the staff. We invite you to show your appreciation in ways that best suit your family. (Suggestions include cards, goodies, flowers, notes, poems or artwork.)
PTO will provide a catered lunch on Monday. Donated table service, drinks, and dessert are needed as well as help with set-up and clean-up.
On Thursday, families can stock the staff lounge with store bought and homemade snacks and goodies.

Wednesday is the annual International Lunch. This is a staff favorite and we cannot do it without your help! Please consider making a traditional family favorite dish for the staff to enjoy.
