PTO Meeting and Carnival Planning Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, January 8 from 6:30-7:30 in the Horn library.  The fourth grade teachers, as well as the band and orchestra directors, will come to tell us about what has been happening in their classes.  We hope you will be able to attend.

Immediately following the PTO meeting, we’ll begin to plan the school carnival which will be held Saturday, March 2.  Anyone who would like to learn more about the carnival, has new ideas, or would like to help with the Hornet CafĂ©, Silent Auction, Games, Ticket Sales, Prize Room or Cake Walk is encouraged to attend.  You may also sign-up here and we’ll be in touch with those who are unable to attend the meeting on January 8th - HORN CARNIVAL SIGN UP

Operation BackPack
The Operation Backpack sign up has been updated for the remaining school year.  We will be starting back up after winter break.  Please consider providing fresh fruit or carrots for this program.  Your participation helps us supplement the food provided by HACAP (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) for qualifying students from Horn and Borlaug.

Spring Volunteer Needs
We had a wonderful start to the school year and have enjoyed all the fall events.  We could not have done it without your help!  As we look ahead, we need to fill a few more volunteer spots to help make things run smoothly in the spring.  Would you consider helping out with the February Movie Night, our School Carnival on March 2, Staff Appreciation Week in May, or the School-Wide Garage Sale?  Check out the other opportunities and sign up by visiting
