PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting is on Tuesday, November 6 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Horn Library. Mrs. Cannon will talk about the new voluntary transfer policy and school attendance blocks. We will also hear from the following specials teachers: Joan Depregner (Media Specialist), Josh Hildebrand (Physical Education), and Kate Hagen (Music).
Community Listening Post
The Iowa City Community School District’s Board of Directors will hold a final Community Listening Post to gather feedback on the proposed 2019-2020 elementary attendance area maps on Thursday, November 8 from 6-7:30 pm at the South East Junior High School Library located at 2501 Bradford Drive, Iowa City, IA 52240.

HALLOWEEN CANDY COLLECTION
Do you have left over candy from Halloween? Consider donating it!
The PTO will have a collection box in the front office next week. A portion of the candy will be saved for the carnival and the rest will be donated to Operation Shoebox, an organization that sends care packages to military troops stationed stateside and abroad.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Calling All Bakers!!! The PTO is always trying to build a bigger Hive to help improve our children's school experience. So we are putting on a Bake Sale during the afternoon of November 6, which is also Election Day.
We need donations of cookies, brownies, cakes, bread and any other sweets that will help. Plus we need volunteers to help sell the treats. So look for our flyers. Below is the sign up genius link to sign up. We can't do this with out your support!
