Football Parking Volunteers Needed
This Saturday is the big Iowa vs Iowa State game and we need 3 more volunteers. If you are able to help out, we would really appreciate it! Football parking is one of PTO's most successful and EASIEST fundraisers! Volunteers collect money from cars parking in our lot on football Saturdays. Sign up for a 2 hour shift here. Track Club is a FREE family friendly school activity that will take place from 6:00-7:00 on September 19 and 26 and from 5:30-6:30 on October 3 and 10. Horn students and siblings are welcome to attend with an adult. Two volunteers are needed each week to assist with set-up and clean-up. Please consider signing here up to help.
STEM Activity Volunteers
The Iowa Children's Museum is providing a STEM activity involving cardboard and tape structures for all students on Tuesday, September 25th from 11:00-1:00. We need a few volunteers to come help with this project.
Translators Needed
We currently need additional translators for Arabic, Chinese, French, Swahili, Japanese, and Spanish to help make our school fliers more accessible to all families at Horn. If you're able to help, please contact Maysara Saeed at Maysara.saeeds@gmail.com
Event Planning Help Needed
Would you consider volunteering to help one of our committee coordinators plan a school event? Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, get to know your child's peers, and connect with Horn staff. No previous PTO involvement is necessary to volunteer. Horn Endowment Commitee
Volunteers are needed to serve on the Horn Endowment Commitee. This group will meet one or two times this year to determine how to spend the endowment's annual interest in a way that benefits Horn School. We will meet Tuesday, September 11th from 7:00-7:45 in the school office.

Upcoming Events
The Box Tops Context has started! Keep your eye out for Box tops on various products, clip the box tops, and send them with your child to school. The contest will continue until September 28th. The grade with the most Box Tops clipped will win a prize!Track Club will begin on Wednesday, September 19th. Track Club is a free event open to all Horn students and siblings with a parent or guardian in attendance. Track Club will meet from 6:00-7:00 on 9/19 & 26 and from 5:30-6:30 on 10/3 & 10. This leads up to the Run for the Schools, which takes place on Sunday, October 14th.

The Horn Family Picnic is coming up on Friday, September 28th from 5:45-8:00 on the back playground. Pack a dinner for your family and come for part or all of the evening. A dessert table will be available for those who would like to bring a dessert to share.
