Winter Clothing Drive
It's hard to believe, but winter is coming soon!  What does that mean in Iowa?  Snow, ice, and temperatures that drop below freezing.  To keep your child safe from cold-weather injuries, they should come to school every day during the winter months with the following cold winter gear:  a warm coat, hat, gloves or mittens, winter boots and snow pants.

The winter clothing drive is held every year.  If your family has new or gently used winter items that you've outgrown, please consider dropping them off in the donation box located in the front office.
Donations will be accepted from September 24th - November 2nd.  Items needed include: winter coats, snow pants, boots, mittens/gloves, long sleeved shirts/sweatshirts and pants.

If your family needs assistance getting winter items for your Horn student and would like to see if we have items available in their size, please contact Megan Recker, the Student and Family Advocate.  You can email her at recker.megan@iowacityschools.org or call her at 319-688-1179.   Winter items are limited in number and we cannot guarantee availabilty of all items in all sizes.
