We would love to see our leadership committee grow this year and hope that you'll consider helping us support Horn School! We are in need of a secretary and co-positions for president, vice-president, and treasurer as well as general committee members.

| Laura Broffitt - President |
Laura grew up in Coralville and returned to the
area after college. Before staying home with her children, Laura was a
first grade teacher and preschool director. Laura and her husband, Dan,
have been Horn parents for eight years and have three children; Sylvia
(8th grade), Eric (6th grade) and Drake (4th grade). Laura is a long-term substitute teacher at Horn this fall.

| Deanna Smock - Co-Vice President |
Deanna has worked at Horn School in some
capacity since 2004-2018 where she most recently taught second grade. Deanna is now a part-time reading teacher at Weber Elementary. Her two youngest, Isaac (2nd grade) and Owen (6th grade) go to Horn. She also has a 8th grader, Eli. Deanna is looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve
the Horn community as a PTO member.

| Betty Tannous - Treasurer |
Betty grew up in Iowa City and graduated with highest honors from
Horn Elementary. Upon completing her medical training at UIHC, she left
Iowa to live in Maryland, Washington, and Texas. She has two boys, Oliver (6th grade) and Max (3rd grade).
