Staff Appreciation Week - May 8-12
Staff Lounge Snacks (May 8) and Yogurt Parfaits (May 12)
We're stocking the staff lounge with snacks and drinks for the week and providing breakfast on Friday. Check out the sign-up to see how you can contribute.
International Lunch (Thursday, May 11)
Families are invited to contribute a variety of foods from around the world (appetizer, main dish, side dish, dessert, etc.). Share a family favorite. All items are welcome! This is always a staff favorite and we're happy to be bringing it back to Staff Appreciation Week! Sign-up here.
Monetary donations to cover the catered lunch and other items purchased by the PTO are also accepted. Checks or cash may be dropped off in the school office (clearly labeled for Staff Appreciation). Donate via PayPal.
End of Year Party - May 20
Save the date! We will be having an end of year party on Saturday, May 20th from 4:00-6:00! Join us for games, bouncy house, face painting, cake decorating, silent auction, food trucks and more!
Horn PTO has a lot of fun things planned and we need VOLUNTEERS to make it a success! Please review the list of volunteer needs and sign up for one or more 30-minute timeslots.
HyVee Cash 4 Students
This year's fundraiser brought in $300 for Horn PTO. Thank you to all who turned in receipts. HyVee is continuing to support schools with Cash 4 Kids so keep saving your receipts. For every $200 purchased at the grocery, wine/spirits, catering, deli, gas, etc., HyVee will donate $1 to Horn.
Electronic receipts can be forwarded to hornpto.iowacity@gmail.com. Please include the total as the subject line to simplify processing. A box is available in the school office for paper receipts.
Parent Teacher Organization
Want to catch up on the most recent PTO meeting. You can find this school year's minutes here. PTO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Horn Library and on Zoom from 7:00-8:00pm. Our final meeting is May 16. Email hornpto.iowacity@gmail.com.
